About this website

Back in the summer of 2006, Ralph Montagu and Laura Wade got together to discuss the idea of trying to find OWs from our era and to organise a reunion of as many people as possible who attended the school in the 1970s. We decided to give it a go and started work on the task of trying to track people down. The school’s records were very sketchy, but luckily we also had access to PL’s old card index system. Whilst this didn’t give us any current address details, it did enable us to start building a database of names. Chris Knox became heavily involved in the project as well (both he and Ralph are current Governors of the school). We also had help from Gerald Carey and Carol Lawford - both now very sadly passed away (see News and Information section).

With the names that we had, we started building a database and then scoured the internet to try to track people down. Slowly over several months we have managed to find more and more people, and in November 2006, had a get together in Central London for about forty OWs, which was a great evening.

What we wanted though, was to find a lot more people and have a full reunion back at the school as the headmaster, Henry Phillips, had kindly agreed that we could do this, and the date of Saturday 30 June 2007 was set. To date we have found about 130 OWs from our era, although unfortunately not all are able to attend the reunion.

We are still looking for quite a few people from the 1970s, and the ‘missing’ are shown under the ‘Looking for’ section. Thank you to all the people that have helped us with trying to find OWs.
